Airsoft in the North East

Airsoft in the North East is a small scene with a clear split: woodland sites around Newcastle and Durham, and two indoor arenas at Gateshead and Billingham. Where sites publish a price, a full day with your own kit costs £20 to £30. We check every listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday.

North East airsoft by area

Newcastle, Tyneside and Northumberland

Northern Skirmishing Club plays on 63 acres of woodland at Bygate Plantation, near Belsay in Northumberland, north-west of Newcastle. NSC runs walk-on game days every Sunday. A walk-on is £20 with your own kit, or £40 with a hire gun and 2,000 BBs, and there's an on-site shop. Minimum age is 11.

No Limits Paintball and Laser in Gateshead, close to Newcastle city centre, has a purpose-built indoor CQB arena, so the weather doesn't stop play. Its Sunday walk-on runs seven hours for £30, and a shorter Wednesday session costs £23. Hire adds £10. Minimum age is 11, and under-18s need a parent or guardian present.

Sunderland, North Tyneside and South Tyneside have their own town pages.

County Durham

This is the section to read for airsoft near Durham.

Northeast Tactical Action Centre (NTAC) is at Quarry House Woods, Pittington, east of Durham. Its 25 acres mix woodland with buildings and themed areas, including a town, a church, a station and a fort. It opens every Sunday: book online and pay on the day. A walk-on is £20 all day, hire is £40, and the minimum age is 8. NTAC used to play at Shildon, so older listings elsewhere may still show that address.

Dirty Dog Airsoft is at Sunnydale, Shildon, on 15 acres with a two-storey shipping container village, woodland and trenches. It's open every Sunday, plus one Saturday a month from April to November. A full day is £25 with your own kit, or £40 with hire. Minimum age is 11, and under-18s must wear full face protection.

Darlington and Hartlepool have their own town pages too.

Teesside

District 23 on Leeholme Road, Billingham, runs a 17,000 sq ft indoor arena built to recreate an "American Midtown District" over two floors, with sky bridges. It opens seven days a week depending on bookings, so call before you go. It doesn't publish a walk-on price or a minimum age, so ask when you book. Under-18s must wear full face protection.

Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees have their own town pages. The sites near Richmond, in North Yorkshire, are on our Yorkshire page.

How we check North East listings

We run every North East listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday. When we checked on 21 October 2026, most North East listings were on the UKARA or BAC register. What UKARA is explains what a register listing means, and what it doesn't.

A rolling website check reaches each listed site about once a week. If a site's website stops loading, we flag it on the listing so you know to ring first.

We have listed airsoft sites since 2019. We list fields - we don't run games, sell guns or give legal advice.
