This site is built partly on open data. This page lists where that data comes from and gives the credit each source asks for.

Terrain

The contour art on field pages is drawn from height data in AWS Terrain Tiles, originally built by Mapzen as part of the Tilezen project. Those tiles may combine the following sources:

  • United Kingdom terrain data © Environment Agency copyright and/or database right 2015. All rights reserved;
  • Europe terrain data produced using Copernicus data and information funded by the European Union - EU-DEM layers;
  • Global ETOPO1 terrain data U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
  • United States 3DEP (formerly NED) and global GMTED2010 and SRTM terrain data courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey.

The full attribution list is published in the Tilezen attribution document, and the dataset is described on the Registry of Open Data on AWS.

Maps

The maps on search results and field pages use tiles from OpenStreetMap. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Postcodes

We find where a postcode is using postcodes.io, a free, open-source postcode lookup service.
