How we check every Scotland listing

We run every Scotland listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday. When we checked on 21 October 2026, every Scotland listing was on the UKARA or BAC register. What a register listing means - and what it doesn't - is covered in what UKARA is.

A rolling website check reaches each listed site about once a week. If a site's website stops loading, we flag it on the listing so you know to ring before travelling.

We have listed airsoft venues since 2019. We list fields - we don't run games, sell guns or give legal advice.

Airsoft in Scotland: common questions

Is there indoor airsoft in Scotland?

Yes. The Depot runs indoor CQB in a former factory in Port Glasgow, and Biohazard Airsoft runs indoor CQB at Stevenston in Ayrshire. Players of War near Falkirk has a Fortress area for CQB on its woodland site. Our guide to CQB and woodland sites explains the difference.

Is airsoft legal in Scotland?

The rules on realistic imitation firearms in section 36 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 apply across Great Britain, Scotland included. Scotland also licenses air weapons under the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015. Section 1(4) of that Act leaves out any air weapon that can't fire a missile with more than one joule of energy at the muzzle. Whether a particular gun falls under it depends on its power, so ask Police Scotland or a solicitor if you're unsure. Is airsoft legal in the UK? covers the wider law.

Is there airsoft in the Highlands?

Yes. Monkey Face Combat holds a monthly airsoft session in Feyglass Wood on the Farr Estate, near Inverness. Further east, Battle Grounds near Banchory in Aberdeenshire runs walk-ons most Sundays.

What does a day's airsoft cost in Scotland?

Where sites publish a price, a full day runs from £25 to £36 with your own kit. Hire packages run £45 to £70 in total. Some sites add a booking fee, and Battlezone charges more if you turn up without booking. What airsoft costs breaks down the extras.

How old do you have to be to play airsoft in Scotland?

Published minimums run from 11 (Monkey Face Combat) to 16 (Players of War); most sites set 12. Several add conditions - at Section 8, under-14s need a responsible adult with them all day, and at The Depot 13 to 17-year-olds need an adult playing alongside. Read how old you need to be to play for the full picture.

Do I need UKARA to play?

No. UKARA is a free register that lets a shop check you're a genuine skirmisher before selling you a realistic imitation firearm. It isn't a licence, and you don't need it to play. Read what UKARA is for the full picture.
