Near Derby, Section 5 Airsoft at Stenson Hill Farm runs indoor close-quarters games on Friday evenings and at weekends. A full day is £35, a half day or evening £20, and under-13s can't play. In the Peak District, Better Battles Airsoft opened at Youlgreave on 22 November 2022, using the cliffs and hills in its woods as cover. Walk-on is £25, or £45 with hire.

Nottinghamshire

Two sites play in Sherwood Forest, north of Nottingham. Skirmish Airsoft uses the natural undergrowth at the Sherwood Forest Activity Centre in Budby and has run airsoft games since 2002. Walk-on is £30 (£25 for members), and players from 11 need a signed parental consent form. Phoenix Airsoft Adventures at Cuckney is an old army base with woodland and CQB across 200 acres, open every Saturday and Sunday. Own kit is £30 and hire £50, and its special events include night games.

Leicestershire and Rutland

Gunbarrel Creek in North West Leicestershire is a woodland site with over 12 acres of game zone: creeks, sniper hides, an old off-road bike track and an APC. Walk-on is £25 and the minimum age is 11. Skirmish Combat Games at Shawell Woods, near Lutterworth, runs paintball and airsoft. A full day is £30 with a light lunch, and players must be 12.

East of Leicester, The MAW (Midlands Airsoft Wargames) plays on a private site of more than 55 acres at Asfordby Valley, near Melton Mowbray. In Leicester itself, RND ZoneX CQB has 16,000 sq ft of indoor CQB in Euro House on St John Street, for players from 12.

For Rutland, Lincolnshire Airsoft Club says it runs events at sites across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Rutland. For sites over the border to the west, see our West Midlands page.

Lincolnshire

East Midlands Airsoft Club is one site, not the whole region. It's Ancaster Leisure's club at Wood Lodge, Ancaster, near Grantham, playing across 40 acres of woodland with 3-hour and full-day sessions and weekly Sunday Game Days. The minimum age is 12, and the centre also runs paintball, laser tag and karting.

Lincolnshire Airsoft Club is an open club - you don't need to be a member to play - and has run games since 2008. Its home site is just outside Lincoln: The Farm CQB on Bardney Road, a converted piggery with close-quarters play on a single level. It also plays at The Ruins, a few miles from Louth, and at The Big Site, The Gorge and The Lost Wood. Walk-on is £21 with your own gun, or £41 with hire, and it takes players from 9.

Combat Zone at Saxilby is a paintball site with a dedicated 6-acre airsoft map of buildings and towers. Walk-ons run on the last Sunday of each month, with Bio BBs only and a minimum age of 11. South Elkington Airsoft, near Louth, is a woodland site.

Sites in North and North East Lincolnshire are on our Yorkshire page.

Northamptonshire

Close Action Airsoft holds one skirmish day a month, always a Sunday, on the old RAF Grafton Underwood airfield near Kettering. It runs not for profit, with player-marshals on the field. Walk-on is £20 in cash with no booking needed, or £45 with hire reserved by email. Under-16s need a playing adult with them.

RIFT's woodland site at Chipping Warden, near Banbury, is closed until late 2026, so check with RIFT before you travel. From Northampton or Corby, search by town to see the nearest sites.

How we check every East Midlands listing

We run every East Midlands listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday. When we checked on 21 October 2026, every East Midlands listing was on the UKARA or BAC register. What a register listing means - and what it doesn't - is covered in what UKARA is.

A rolling website check reaches each listed site about once a week. If a site's website stops loading, we flag it on the listing so you know to ring before travelling.

We have listed airsoft venues since 2019. We list fields - we don't run games, sell guns or give legal advice.
