East of England airsoft by county
Essex
Airsoft Plantation near Ingatestone, in the Chelmsford district, covers over 45 acres of woodland and scrub, with a village of walled paths built for CQB. Walk-on days are the first, second and third Sundays of the month, and you don't need to book unless you're hiring kit. Minimum age is 12, and under-18s come with a parent or guardian.
Skirmish Airsoft Billericay, in the Basildon district, plays every Sunday on 60 acres of mixed woodland with a CQB zone. Entry is £25 and there's no need to book. The minimum age is 14, with no exceptions.
Splatoon at Rawreth, near Wickford, is mainly a paintball centre on 12 acres of woodland, with airsoft game days every other Sunday at £25.
For indoor games, CAMO on Canvey Island, near Southend-on-Sea, runs a 9,500 sq ft purpose-built arena with more than 30 rooms. A CQB skirmish session is £25, and Wednesday evening sessions are £20.
Airsoft GB Tendring, near Clacton-on-Sea and east of Colchester, is woodland with a village, a fort and trenches. It plays on the first and third Saturdays and asks everyone to book ahead. Walk-on is £30. Minimum age is 12, and players aged 12 to 14 need a guardian playing alongside them.
Two sites with Hertfordshire-sounding addresses are in Essex by postcode. AWA Herts, near Sawbridgeworth and close to Harlow, is a booking-only woodland site at £30. Terminal 6 at Frogs Hall Farm, near Bishop's Stortford, describes itself as an adventure park hosting airsoft events.
Closer to London, Mayhem at Abridge runs all-day walk-on skirmishes across several fields, and Dragons Lair plays at Stifford Hall Hotel in Thurrock. Our London page covers both in more detail.
Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
In south-west Hertfordshire, Reforger at Langleybury, near Watford, mixes woodland with a CQB village. Red 1 CQB at Abbots Langley pairs woodland with an indoor CQB arena. South Herts Airsoft at Chipperfield, in Dacorum, is woodland and CQB, booked in advance. Our London page lists all three as well. For St Albans and Stevenage, search by town.
In Bedfordshire, Skirmish Central at Odell, north-west of Bedford, holds Skirmish Sundays every other Sunday from age 11. Luton players can search by town. The Milton Keynes sites just over the border are on our South East page.
Norfolk and Suffolk
In East Anglia, several sites sit in Breckland, around Thetford, which has no city page of its own. Combat Airsoft runs full-day games every Saturday and Sunday from age 12, plus night games on the last Saturday of each month in a purpose-built CQB arena. Teamgreen Airsoft has its own game field and shop within the same grounds, with regular skirmish days and themed events.
Battle Stations at Snetterton is a CQB site. It runs skirmish days every Saturday and Sunday at £33 for a full day with your own kit, evening games three times a month, and 12- and 24-hour milsims. Minimum age is 12. Further north, just off the A47 at Holme Hale, Battleground Airsoft has 100 acres of woodland and a CQB village. It plays on the second and fourth Sundays at £25. Minimum age is 14, or 11 with an adult on the field.
Near Norwich, Combat Action Games plays woodland airsoft every other Sunday at £30, from age 11. On the north coast, Wolf Recon at Morston, near Holt, runs objective-based games in what it calls a semi-rural woodland CQB environment, from age 11. Scorpion Airsoft uses the old hospital and bunker at the former RAF West Raynham, but it stopped skirmishes for individuals in January 2024 and now takes private groups of eight or more.
Warzone uses a Wisbech address, but its site at Three Holes, near Upwell, is in Norfolk. It runs paintball and airsoft for players aged 11 and over, with walk-on days for regulars who own their kit. Everyone books in advance.
In Suffolk, Gunman Tuddenham near Bury St Edmunds is a former WWII Lancaster base with 13 playable buildings across 45 acres of CQB and wood and scrub. Gunman started here in 2002 and runs monthly open weekends of FilmSim and skirmish games, from age 12. For Ipswich, Waveney and Great Yarmouth, search by town.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
RIFT Blackstone CQB in Huntingdon is an indoor site themed as a war-torn European village. It runs morning and afternoon sessions every weekend at £30 each with your own kit, plus Wednesday and alternate Friday evenings at £20. Minimum age is 12.
Commando Elite at Monks Wood, also near Huntingdon, plays woodland airsoft on alternate Sundays at £30 (£25 for members) and runs paintball too.
Apocalypse at Bassingbourn, near Royston, holds walk-ons on the first and third Sundays at £25, with some evening games. It allows players from age 9 and uses Bio BBs only. For Cambridge and Peterborough, search by town.

How we check every East of England listing
We run every East of England listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday. When we checked on 21 October 2026, most East of England listings were on the UKARA or BAC register. What a register listing means, and what it doesn't, is covered in what UKARA is.
A rolling website check reaches each listed site about once a week. If a site's website stops loading, we flag it on the listing so you know to ring before travelling.
We have listed airsoft venues since 2019. We list fields - we don't run games, sell guns or give legal advice.
Airsoft in the East of England: common questions
Is there indoor airsoft in Essex?
Yes. CAMO on Canvey Island runs a purpose-built indoor arena of more than 30 rooms. Elsewhere in the region, RIFT Blackstone CQB in Huntingdon is indoors, and Red 1 CQB at Abbots Langley has an indoor arena. CQB vs woodland explains the difference.
Where can I play airsoft near Thetford?
Combat Airsoft and Teamgreen share grounds near Thetford, Battle Stations runs CQB at Snetterton, and Battleground's woodland is further north at Holme Hale. We have no Thetford city page, so this page is the place to start.
What does a day's airsoft cost in the East of England?
Where sites publish a price, a day or session with your own kit runs from £25 to £33. At some sites, such as South Herts and Billericay, that fee is entry only - you bring your own kit and BBs. What airsoft costs covers hire and extras.
How old do you have to be to play airsoft in the East of England?
Published minimums run from 9 (Apocalypse) to 14 (Billericay, Battleground and Reforger); most sites say 11 or 12. Some add conditions: at Airsoft GB Tendring, players aged 12 to 14 need a guardian playing alongside. Read how old you need to be to play for the full picture.
Do I need UKARA to play?
No. UKARA is a free register that lets a shop check you're a genuine skirmisher before selling you a realistic imitation firearm. It isn't a licence, and you don't need it to play. Read what UKARA is for the full picture.
