South West airsoft by county

Cornwall

Cornwall has more of our South West listings than any other county, and no city page of its own, so this is its hub.

Blackout Airsoft Cornwall plays at Holman's Test Mine near Camborne - "Cornwall's only underground tunnel system", in its own words. Games run through two miles of tunnels and a large outside area with a quarry and woodland. Helmets and torches are required in the mine. A game day is £25, and full hire is £45.

Thunderpark at Luxulyan, near Bodmin, is woodland with fields, a stream, bunkers and old vehicles, and runs milsim-lite games as well as skirmishes. It plays every other Sunday and asks players to check its social pages for changes. Non-members pay £25, and the minimum age is 12.

Knight Pegasus near Launceston has a 20-acre woodland with WW2-style defences, including a German bunker. It doesn't take walk-ons on the day: book ahead with a £10 deposit. Own kit is £25.

Tank Track near Redruth mixes an urban CQB area of partial buildings with woodland, and runs monthly games. In Truro, Get-Some has a 3,200 sq ft indoor CQB arena with three-hour evening sessions on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Near Newquay, On Target Outdoor runs four-hour walk-on sessions for players with their own kit.

Devon

Survival Combat Games is in Southdown Woods near Barnstaple, a family business running since 1988. Its club days use a woodland with a village, bridges and a missile base. Adults pay £33 with their own kit and juniors aged 11 to 15 pay £28. The minimum age is 11.

Near Exeter, UCZ Paintball Parks runs evening CQB walk-ons around a WWII and Cold War bunker at Poltimore. Entry is £20, you must book, and players must be 12 or over. In Plymouth, Commando Force has an indoor venue at Plympton with an airsoft shooting range and a small CQB zone, hired by the hour (12 and over for the CQB zone). There's a city page for Torbay too.

Dorset

Ground Zero is on the Somerley Estate near Ringwood. Its own site says Ringwood, Hampshire, but its SatNav postcode is in Dorset, so it sits on this page - our South East page says the same. It covers 150 acres of woodland, walk-ons are always welcome, and you only need to book if you're hiring kit. Adults pay £32, and under-18s and students £25.

Spec Ops at Bloxworth, near Wareham, has run games since 2001. Play covers about 100 acres of woodland, with a CQB village, trenches, bunkers and a fort. A walk-on is £30, gun hire is £15 more, and the minimum age is 11.

Camouflage Airsoft has a woodland site at Hurn, close to Bournemouth and Poole. It asks everyone, walk-ons included, to book and pay before the game day. Skirmish Dorset at Bere Regis runs airsoft for groups of ten or more in over 100 acres of woodland.

Wiltshire

Bristol Airsoft's Melksham site is indoors, a multi-level venue inside an old Victorian ruin, with regular game days and evenings. Don't let the name mislead you: it's in Wiltshire, not Bristol.

First and Only's Base CQC at Yatesbury, near Calne, uses the buildings and overgrown ground of the former RAF Yatesbury barracks, and suits experienced players. Strikeforce's Horizon, a former quarry at Kington St Michael near Chippenham, opened in January 2026; walk-ons are welcome without booking, at £30, from age 10.

Hollow Point plays in a 10-acre wood at Gastard, near Corsham, for £20 a full day with your own kit (12 and over). Sierra Golf One near Devizes is veteran-run, on 32 acres of private mixed woodland, and caps games at 60 players, so everyone books. Around Swindon, AIM Airsoft has 15 acres of woodland (11 and over), though its next game was listed as pending when we checked, and Swindon Airsoft plays at Lydiard Millicent.

Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire

When we checked on 21 October 2026, we listed no site inside the City of Bristol, in Bath and North East Somerset or in Somerset itself - not even around Taunton. Bristol's sites sit just outside the city. The Bristol and Bath pages show what's nearest.

Black Ops at Hollywood Lane, Cribbs Causeway, in South Gloucestershire, plays on a former British Army base dating back to the Second World War, with walk-ons every Sunday and a shop on site. Spartan Airsoft at Brockley Combe, North Somerset, is woodland and Bio BB only. It's £30, or £25 if you book by Thursday midnight; everyone must pre-book, payment is cash only, and the minimum age is 12.

In Gloucester, StrikeForce CQB is an all-weather indoor arena on Bristol Road, open on Sundays (£37.50) and Thursday nights (£20), from age 10. Near Blockley in the north Cotswolds, Cotswold Airsoft has 300 acres of woodland with forts, towers, an 80ft valley and a village; booking is required and own kit is £30. Forest of Dean Paintball and Airsoft covers 50 acres of grassland, valleys and woodland, at £25 including lunch, and posts its game days on Facebook. For Cheltenham, the city page shows what's nearest, and sites over the border to the north are on our West Midlands page.

How we check every South West listing

We run every South West listing against the UKARA and BAC registers every Monday. When we checked on 21 October 2026, most South West listings were on the UKARA or BAC register. What a register listing means - and what it doesn't - is covered in what UKARA is.

A rolling website check reaches each listed site about once a week. If a site's website stops loading, we flag it on the listing so you know to ring before travelling.

We have listed airsoft venues since 2019. We list fields - we don't run games, sell guns or give legal advice.

Airsoft in the South West: common questions

Is there indoor airsoft in the South West?

Yes. Bristol Airsoft's Melksham site is fully indoors, and StrikeForce CQB in Gloucester runs an all-weather indoor arena on Sundays and Thursday nights. In Cornwall, Get-Some has an indoor CQB arena in Truro with evening sessions, and Blackout plays in old mine tunnels near Camborne. In Devon, UCZ runs evening CQB walk-ons near Exeter, and Commando Force hires out an indoor CQB zone in Plympton.

Where can I play airsoft near Bristol?

The nearest sites are just outside the city: Black Ops at Cribbs Causeway, with Sunday walk-ons, and Spartan's woodland at Brockley Combe. Bristol Airsoft's indoor site is further east, at Melksham in Wiltshire. We list no site inside Bristol or Bath.

What does a day's airsoft cost in the South West?

Where sites publish a price, a full day with your own kit runs from £20 to £37.50. Evening sessions cost less: £20 at UCZ, at StrikeForce CQB on Thursdays, and at Get-Some if you book online. Hire packages cost more: Blackout's full hire is £45 and a rental day at Hollow Point is £40.

How old do you have to be to play airsoft in the South West?

Published minimums run from 10 (StrikeForce's sites) to 12; Survival Combat Games, Spec Ops and AIM set 11. Under-16s usually need an adult with them, and at Get-Some, players aged 12 to 17 need an adult who is also playing. Read how old you need to be to play for the full picture.

Do I need UKARA to play?

No. UKARA is a free register that lets a shop check you're a genuine skirmisher before selling you a realistic imitation firearm. It isn't a licence, and you don't need it to play. Read what UKARA is for the full picture.
